Vintage Voodoo Experience

We love making music, we love sharing it and we love celebrating it. That's what we do at the VINTAGE VOODOO EXPERIENCE. A monthly party where you can lend your ears to the music we love whilst we pay our odes to the vinyl culture. This is the place and the time where and when we play records that nobody else in Amsterdam plays. Records of which we went through hell to get our hands on. Records we dug in odd places in different countries. Records with that Heavy, Rough, Exotic and Groovy edge. Records that inspire us daily in our experimentations at Barracão Studio. Alex Figueira is the Witch Doctor and, together with the two shamans Raoul and Bas, they make the VINTAGE VOODOO SOUND SYSTEEM. Their sets are intense. You can hear Spaced-Out Cumbia, Out-of-Control Indian Funk or Deep Bass Driven Reggae following each other shamelessly for they mix styles that might seem not logical at the most superficial listening, but make people dance like there was no tomorrow.
